Art of Attachment provides relationship education and coaching. Todd Smith is a relationship coach, not a licensed therapist, psychologist, counselor, physician, or other mental-health or healthcare provider.

Scope of coaching

Coaching focuses on education, self-awareness, relationship skills, goals, practice, and personal accountability. It does not diagnose or treat mental illness, trauma, addiction, or any other medical or psychological condition. Coaching is not a substitute for therapy, medical care, legal advice, or other licensed professional services.

When to seek other support

If you have concerns about your mental or physical health, safety, abuse, coercion, or the suitability of coaching, consult a qualified licensed professional. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing an emergency, contact local emergency services. In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Participation and results

You remain responsible for your choices, actions, and wellbeing. Relationship change depends on many factors, including each participant’s circumstances and engagement. Testimonials, examples, surveys, and educational materials do not guarantee any particular outcome.

Privacy and confidentiality

Coaching is not protected by the same legal privileges that may apply to licensed healthcare relationships. Any specific privacy and confidentiality expectations for coaching will be described in the coaching agreement.
